Schut Rules and Regulations
These rules and regulations are put into place for the safety of everyone at the Schut. Failure to abide by these rules will result in being reprimanded and further action may be taken.
1. Participation Requirements:
- A. Must be at least 16 years of age.
- B. Have a valid hunter's safety certificate.
- C. Pay a $25 registration fee.
2. Alcohol Regulations:
For the safety and integrity of our event, alcohol is strictly prohibited while shooting or within the designated shooting area. This area includes the side of the fence where the gun racks and the pole are located. Under no circumstances should alcohol cross to the other side of this fence. Additionally, all shooters must ensure they have no alcohol in their system while participating in the shooting activities.
3. Carry-ins:
Please be advised that carry-ins are not permitted at our event. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase throughout the entire event.
4. Allowed Guns:
Only shotguns with slugs (maximum 12 gauge) or black powder muzzleloaders are permitted. No other types of firearms are allowed.
5. Gun Safety:
Guns MUST remain unloaded with safety on until you are in the shooting box. Guns MUST then be unloaded with safety on before leaving the shooting box.
6. Safety Zone:
Shooters and spectators may not go beyond the shooting boxes at ANY TIME during the shoot.
